African Union Internship Program 2026

A paid internship program placing African students and recent graduates at African Union offices to gain experience in continental governance and policy work.

Paid internship with a monthly stipend; placements at AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa or AU regional and representational offices.

• Monthly stipend
• Hands-on experience at a continental institution
• Networking with AU departments and diplomats

• Full-time student in final year of a Bachelor's or graduate program, or recent graduate within the set timeframe
• Fluent in at least one AU working language (Arabic, English, French, or Portuguese)
• No more than 32 years of age at time of selection
• Citizen of an African Union member state
